Why am I unable to set the "Hold Last Value" parameter on certain OLM devices?

This option can be selected in parameter "Behaviour at Reading Error (NoRead)":
This function determines which position value the OLM outputs when it can no longer calculate a new position - in other words, in case of an error.

  • With “zero output”, a value of 0 is output.

  • With “hold last value”, the last valid calculated position value is output.

The "hold last value" feature is only available on OLM devices that transmit both measurement data and diagnostic/status information together in a single message.
This was a deliberate design decision to prevent misinterpretation, such as assuming the device is stationary when it is actually still moving, by ensuring that status information is always included alongside the "hold last value".
