SICK Visionary Diagnostics Tool

The SICK Visionary Diagnostics Tool is a Python-based application designed to retrieve the diagnostic, status and monitoring information of SICK Visionary-T Mini and Visionary-S products. It is especially useful for Visionary-T Mini AP and Visionary-S AP devices for which there is currently no other easy-to-use tool to retrieve and visualize the diagnostic and monitoring information. The tool runs as a stand-alone application. Its graphical user interface allows to select the device type, enter an IP address and to retrieve and display various device parameters and as well as the device log. The information can be saved in a file.

The tool is available here:

Easily retrieve, visualize and save diagnostic, status and monitoring information:

• for Visionary-S AP and Visionary-T Mini AP:
  
  • without the need to program a dedicated sensor app in Lua via SICK AppStudio
  • in case the installed sensor app does not provide this information
  • in case SICK AppManager or AppStudio are not available
• for Visonary-T Mini CX:
  • without the need to use or compile the dedicated SICK Visionary sample
  • in case SOPAS ET is not available

• Device selection: Choose between different device types (e.g., Visionary-S, Visionary-T Mini).
• IP address entry: Enter the IP address of the device to connect.
• Diagnostics information: Retrieve and display device information, status, operating voltage, temperatures, and logs.
• Save diagnostic information: Save the diagnostics information to a text file.
• Download encrypted log file (Visionary-T Mini only): Download encrypted log file for third and fourth level support
• Installed apps and licenses (AP devices only): List of installed apps and Sensor app licenses

First version - no improvements yet

The tool was built for Windows10 x64. However, it can also be built for a different operating system. The respective instructions are part of the download package.

The tool is designed to work with the following devices:

• Visionary-S AP (V3S142-1AAxxxx)
• Visionary-T Mini CX (V3S105-1xxxxxx)
• Visionary-T Mini AP (V3S145-1xxxxxx)

• Start-up time: Initially starting the tool, can take up to 10 seconds, depending on the hardware platform.
• Visionary-S CX support: The tool will not work with Visionary-S CX. Please use SOPAS ET or the SICK Visionary sample to retrieve diagnsotics information.
