What was the SCS60 / SCM60 and SCS70 / SCM70 Hiperface encoder?
The SCS60 / SCM60, SCS70 / SCM70 was an old HIPERFACE® encoder series, which had 512 SIN/COS periods per rotation.
Unfortunately, we do not have Hiperface encoders, with 512 SIN/COS periods per rotation, any more.
There is no 1:1 replacement available. If the customer has the possibility to connect a HIPERFACE® encoder with 1024 SIN/COS periods, than they can use a SRS50 / SRM50 or SFS60 / SFM60 for replacement (depending which encoder series is mechanically closer).
The customer has to decide about the mechanical design, which is most suitable to adapt to their application.
The SCS60 / SCM60, SCS70 / SCM70 was available as "Stegmann" device and as a "SICK" device.
→ the type code was at the Stegmann (older) device different to the SICK (newer) device.
The data sheets, which are attached, are the SICK data sheets.
