Before starting the firmware update process for devices with firmware older than V2.02, please delete all logfiles from the Internal Memory (Permanent). This would avoid any possibility where the internal storage was full and thus preventing the download of the firmware packages. In addition, delete or remove the SD card before the update.
Firmware Update / Downgrade Procedure
Please be aware that a direct firmware update from an early firmware version (≤V1.7X) to a recent firmware version (≥V2.01) or the direct firmware downgrade from a recent firmware version (≥V2.01) to an old firmware version (≤V1.7X) can lead to device damage. Sending the device in for repair could be the consequence. Always follow this procedure for firmware updates: Firmware V1.XX → Firmware V1.7X → Firmware V2.01 → Firmware V2.XX Always follow this procedure for firmware downgrades: Firmware V2.XX → Firmware V2.01 → Firmware V1.7X → Firmware V1.XX The firmware versions need to be installed step-by-step, one after another.
Special Note for Firmware Update from 2.0.0
