UI-Builder: UI element libraries for SensorApps (SICK AppSpace SDK)

The extension "SICK AppSpace UI-Builder" is part of the extension pack "SICK AppSpace SDK" for Visual Studio Code. It uses a library of UI elements to build user interfaces for SensorApps. The default library includes the most commonly used collections of UI elements. Larger libraries can be loaded instead to make more UI elements available for building SensorApp user interfaces.

This article describes how to exchange the library of UI elements in "SICK AppSpace SDK" and provides an overview of available libraries and versions.

The library of UI elements for SICK AppSpace SDK is stored in the following folder:

• Windows:
  C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\SICK\AppSpace\ui-builder\control-library\<control-library-version>
• Linux:
  ~/.config/SICK/AppSpace/ui-builder/control-library/<control-library-version>

. It can be exchanged by replacing the content of the respective folder. This can be achieved via the following steps:

1. Close Visual Studio Code
2. Download the library that is compatible with your version of SICK AppSpace SDK (see overview of all available libraries below)
3. Extract the folder "package" from the corresponding file *.tgz to any folder on your hard disk
4. Rename the above mentioned folder with the currently used control library version number to e.g. "<control-library-version>_old"
5. Rename the unzipped folder "package" to the currently used control library version number and move it to the folder where you have renamed the old file in the previous step
6. Restart Visual Studio Code
