With this tool you can try out different geometries for your Ranger3 setup and see what the theoretical x- and z-resolutions will be for this setup.
Enter your desired FOV and what lens you want to use and get started!
The camera and laser can be moved and rotated in the view by clicking on them.
The parameters on the right hand side can also be edited.
Download and extract the zip-file to your disk and double-click the index.html file!
Intended use: The tool is intended to be used to specify an initial setup. As some approximations are made during calculations the exact camera angle might differ from the physical setup. This is true for the scheimpflug angle as well.
Both the camera angle and scheimpflug estimations have larger errors the smaller the field of view is.
Known Limitations
Ranger3 Setup Assistant estimates the scheimpflug angle and camera angle which introduces inaccuracies compared to the physical setup. This inaccuracy increases for small FoVs.
