Is it possible, to cut the magnetic tape of a TTK70, TTK50, STL70, ETL70 into pieces and use the single pieces as measuring track?

On the magnetic tape of the TTK50, TTK70, STL70, ETL70 is an magnetic absolute code.

It is possible to cut a longer tape into pieces, and use the single small pieces as measuring tracks.

On each piece is a different part of the code.

Info: It is not possible to make a measuring track out of several tapes (you will get position jumps and measuring errors at the connection between the 2 tapes) 

The minimum tape length looks like this:

--> meauring track + sensor length + 2*5mm
