How does the heating of the ISD400 Core data transmission systems work?

The heating variants of ISD400 Core (ISD400-1121 and ISD400-6121) contain a flat heating element.  If the internal temperature of the unit falls below +5°C, the heater is activated automatically; if it rises above +7°C, it is deactivated again. These switching points are fixed and cannot be changed.

Under certain conditions, the heating power may not be sufficient. Knowledge article no. KA-08821 already describes how to increase the power of the internal heater on the DL100 distance sensors. The same facts also apply to ISD400 Core with exception of the nominal heating power, which is 20 W @ 24V for ISD400 Core.
