In the steel industry, often the application is to detect very hot metallic objects.
So why is that application advanced:
1. The object is very hot, that means that the environment will be heated up. So the sensor must be cooled down by some accessories.
2. The target itself will have a strong radiation (especially in the infrared wavelength) So we cannot use an infrared sensor because he would fail switching on the object which sends infrared radiation. IR Filter in the sensor is necessary.
3. Due to the fact that the target and environment is very hot a glass lens is required.
Enclosed our recommendations of the devices which you can use and why you should use them.
1016031WS/WE45-P260S01 / WS/WE45-S01 Special version with Red-light sender and receiver +IR-filter(scanning range ca. 35 m), usually the W45 Series are equipped with IR-Sender and Receiver to reach big scanning ranges<350m.

1015317WT45-R200S04 UC24...240V Relais output Both sensors mentioned before are for detecting of objects with very hot surfaces (> +800°C), visible red light, IR cut filter against heat radiation, glass cover lens 5mm thick, robust metal housing, dynamic front screen heating greatly reduces condensation during rapid temperature changes
