General
The product page and the datasheet of the sensingCam SEC100 show the detection angles in the horizontal and vertical planes as well as a diagram of the optical plane as a function of the distance to the object.
The angle information can be used to plan applications, for example. For example, the required distance can be calculated for a known object size or, conversely, the maximum object size can be determined for a given distance.
Field of View (FoV) Calculation
In addition to the diagram in the data sheet and the product page, the following shows how the required distance or the maximum dimensions of an application area can be calculated.

The angles for the sensingCam SEC100 are specified in the data sheet as shown.
Horizontal and Vertical Plane
The formulas shown can be used to calculate the required value.
The formula on the left is for calculating the required distance to the object in the corresponding plane.
The formula on the right is for calculating the image area for a known distance.
