The housing of the MPB is made of inox type 1.4404.
But the connector is made of nickel-plated brass. Not the perfect setup for salty water atmosphere conditions.
The MPB and plug have survived a salt spray test without damage/errors, but we cannot guarantee that it will work in salty or marine environments. Furthermore, the MPB10 doesn't has any maritime certificate!
The customer can test at his own risk whether it works well in his real application environment, which is always the safest way.
If the robustness of the MPB10 isn't as expected, an additional housing could be an option.
We would be grateful for the result of the customer test and additional application information/expected sales volume/price would be helpful for the product manager to make the right decisions for the future.
