Password reset process when SICK Service is disabled
A new password reset mechanism for user level “Service” is implemented. In the SOPAS ET device menu, the customer can start the process for resetting the password.
The device key along with serial and part number must be submitted to SICK AG to request a reset key. For convenience, the user can automatically generate an email with all necessary information.
The email needs to be forwarded to the local SICK subsidiary.
Once reset key was received from the local SICK subsidiary, it can be entered by clicking the “next” button shown in the password reset dialogue.
After entering the reset key, the default passwords will be active.
