How to set up FTP Server for the EventCam

Hi everyone,

as you know there is a possibility to save pictures or videos from the EventCam via FTP (File Transfer Protocol). 

Enclosed I will show you which settings are important so that you get the data on your PC. 

First of all you need an FTP Server , that you are able to store the data. In this example I am using the freeware FileZilla (https://filezilla-project.org).

The first step is to define the "user" (that means the Eventcam) which are allowed to connect to the FTP Server.

Just press this button.

Here you see my settings:

The name of my "user" is anonymous and defined a password. These values are important, because we need them later in the settings of the EventCam.

You have to create a folder on the PC where the media should be stored. 

In my Case the folder is called FTP_Event and give them here full rights. 

After that just click on "OK".

Second important thing is to check which port is declared in the software. 

As you see the Port in this case is "21". That´s it for this software. Again click on OK. 

Now we check up the settings on the EventCam

Of cousre the FTP Upload has to be "on".  The Target IP is the one from the PC. The target port has to be the same as in FileZilla. 

As well as the username and the password have to be the same as in the beginning ... I hope you remember that.

Additionally, I made the setting that the media should be saved in the path "sessions".

And the last thing in order to make it work is to connect the server with the lightning sign 

Now we trigger the event cam and see what happens. 

As you see there are a plenty of things going on, and this is good because there is communication. I will not explain each line..otherwise you will fall asleep... if not happend already...

And this is how the "session" folder looks like

The EventCam automatically generates folders concerning the date and time with the media inside.
