The successor to LM31-450 is introduced as LL3-LM31450.
Is it exactly the same in terms of performance, size, connection compatibility, etc.?

It is the same fiber than the predecessor with only one difference. The connector is made for the new sensor amplifier familys like WLL180T, GLL170T, WLL80,.. and changed from

When using the old WLL12 amplifier, please use the old system ( LM31-450 phased out) or switch to the new system ( LL3 fibers with flying leads) with the adapter kit 2015210 AD-LL-2M2 that looks like this:

Fibers with a fix sensor input and no flying leads are not suitable for the adapter kits because the distance between sender and receiver on the sensor side is too small for the old WLL12.
