This article presents an application that uses the window mode to check the correct filling height of packed goods in carton boxes.

Cartons with the wrong filling height will be sorted out by a pusher as you can see in the picture below.

 

The window mode function is included in various SICK sensors.
In the following article you will find examples for a few sensors where this function can be set up.

 

WTT2: Window mode is available for both outputs.

 

 

WTT4: Window mode is available for up to 8 Qint.

 

 

WTT12: Window mode is available for Qint2.

 

W4F Multiswitch with 2 separate switching points: The window must be created in the "Smart Task" tab.

 

Disturbing vertical carton flaps can be blanked out using a T-on delay that matches the dimensions of the flap and the speed of the conveyor:

 

 

 

Dx35 and DT50-2: Window mode is available for Q1 and Q2 (a timer for the switching outputs can also be configured):
