Situation description
During operation of the sensor when the LMS5xx internal temperature controller switches on the heating circuit OR switch off heating circuit at a certain low temperature, the state of LMS5 will change to "busy" mode and recover in short time. Also the LED's on the scanners front change from green to red and back. All outputs will switch for about 200ms to low signal and then recover to original status.
The commissioning test is still working.
The effect with firmware V1.50 up to V1.50.6 is:
Solution
There are several possible solutions for different application requirements:
Update to firmware V1.50.8 or higher, consider this as the most sustainable option.
Out state remains at high level continuously until application result or Device Ready changes. Turning on the heating has no influence on the measurement of the scanner
Use the output signal "Device Ready" of LMS5xx.
During a period with LMS5xx "Device Not Ready" theapplication controller should not consider the evaluation result.
The application controller could possibly recover automatically from a short period of "Device Not Ready.
