Table of Contents

The relative position represents the position at which a person has passed through the ROI of the PeopleCounter.

This value is shown in the tab "Counter" for the last few detections. It depends on the width of the ROI.

You can get this value via CoLa commands or REST API for the last detection either in IN or OUT direction, too.

  • REST API
    • Query of person entry area (IN):
      http://<sensor ip>/api/IN
    • Query of person exit area (OUT):
      http://<sensor ip>/api/OUT
  • CoLa commands
    • sRN IN (or sEN IN)
    • sRN OUT (or sEN OUT)

The value is low, if the person walks in the left side of the ROI.

The value is high, if the person walks in the right side of the ROI.

See the following examples with small and large ROI.

Person walks through on left side of ROI

Person walks through on right side of ROI
