We will show you an application with the SIG100 and WTB16.
The task is to make a light grid with 6 proximity sensors, to detect different boxes on a conveyor belt. The boxes could be every size, so you need 6 sensors to cover the complete conveyor belt. The detection is only possible from the top.
The customer needs only one signal and the distance between control cabin to the sensor is round about 100m, so with the SIG100 you can make a logic to connect all sensors. You get only one signal to the control cabin and you need only one cable over a distance of 100m to the SIG100.

The application (only example):

The logic could look like this:

The SIG100 is therefore useful, because the sensors have a push pull output.Hence, it is not possible to connect all outputs of the sensors together, so the above solution to solve the application and reduce wiring has to be used.
