Have you checked the T&T Systems General Troubleshooting Guide?

Please ask yourself the following Questions:
  1. Does the device get triggered and flashes with new object? (visual feedback)
  2. Does the device show any errors on the diagnostic page?
  3. Does the device decode all images in the sequence? (Using the live image sequence)
  4. Does the start & stop of image capturing is correct? (Using the live image sequence)
  5. Is the image quality for sharpness and brightness sufficient for code reading (good-read)? (Using the live image sequence)
  6. Does the codes in the live image sequence gets read at least 2 times in sequence? (Using the live image sequence)
  7. Is the barcode position correct in 30mm tolerance? (output format)

Indicators of root causes

Illumination does not flash

  • Is “send continuous clock” in controller active?
  • Do we receive speed and trigger in device?
  • Is the device position valid?

Errors on device

  • CAN network issue
  • Ethernet connection issue
  • FTP connection issue

Decoding time problems

  • Are unused codes or features active?
  • Reducing of framerate possible? (min 2 shots on the code)
  • Settings on Application Tab correct?

Image Quality problems (codes are not read)

  • Is the brightness being sufficient for code reading?
  • Is the focus set by the assistant and the code read in live image?
  • If there are blurred codes – is the inserted max speed correct?
  • Is the calculated shutter time same as manual calculated one? {Min module width / speed}

Assignment problems (codes are read but not assigned)

  • The start and stop are not matching with the object edges?
  • Code positions are not correct?
  • Device position is not correct?
