What is the difference between the NAV210 and the NAV245

The NAV210 is giving out contour measurements with a high angular accuracy for contour localization. The NAV245 can additionally detect precisely reflector coordinates and provides these coordinates including a timestamp for an external reflector based localization.

How can I retrieve the angular data from the NAV210 and NAV245 and how to process it ?

 To read out the compensation table please use this command:

sRN MCAngleCompSIn

This will the compensation data for

Amplitude
Phase
Offset

The formular to correct the angles is:

 AngleComp = AngleRaw - AngleCompAmpl * SIN( AngleRaw + AngleCompPhase )  - AngleCompOffset

AngleComp = Compensated Angle
AngleRaw = Raw Angle Data

What is the angular accuracy of the NAV245/210 with and without compensation?

Without compensation the angular accuracy is up to +/- 1 deg, after the compensation calculation the accuracy is less than 20 mdeg.

RSSI range: the RSSI type of NAV245/NAV210 is 16 bits, if it means the range of NAV210 RSSI is 0~0x FFFF ?

The RSSI values are available in 16 bit

What is the meaning of Flags in SOPAS ?

The value of Flag is a 16Bit field. where each bit indicates if the according filter for the reflector detection is actice:

ACTION Radius =     0x01;
SECTOR Muting =    0x02;
Landmark Size =       0x04;
NClosest =                0x08;
HITCOUNT =            0x10;
Detection Mode =     0x20;
Parttly Covered=       0x40;

Is is possible to retrieve the RDI ( Reflector Data Inferface ) information from the NAV245 via RS232 ?

Yes, it is possible to use the command the sSN NLMDLandmarks via RS232. For a permanent output of the RDI data it is necessary to avoid the output of contour data.

For real time time transmission of contour data (plus RDI data ) the RS232 interface is not suitable.

How to reset the NAV2xx by a telegram?

Der NAVxxx is supporting these commands, which are available  in the userlevel "Authorized clientï"

sMN mSCreboot

( Method executes a software reset on the device )

and

sMN mSCsoftreset 0

( Method shuts the device down but saves the parameter before shutdown is executed )

The first method executes only a reset, while the second method will save the current parameter before executing the reset.
