The time between the external trigger signal and the snapshot depends on the frame rate set on the camera. This is because the camera records continuously in a ring buffer. The settings for the primary stream, especially the frame rate, are used for this. It depends on the time at which the trigger is triggered between the individual frames. The corresponding next frame is used as a snapshot.

The maximum time between the trigger signal and the snapshot can be easily calculated:

Example 30 fps

Frame each 1/30 Hz = 33 ms

→ The longest response time in this setting can be 33 ms.

Example 16 fps

Frame each 1/16 Hz = 63 ms

→ The longest response time in this setting can be 63 ms.

The shortest response time is approx. 5 ms.

fps - frames per second
Hz - Hertz
ms - milliseconds
