What is the content of the application note?

The HIPERFACE DSL technology offers the possibility for standard as well as safety related applications. For safety related applications there are additional measures defined to watch the system and to ensure its correct function or identify deviations to be able to bring it to a safe state. Therefore some SAFEDSL*** requirements are listed within the safety chapter of the manual which need to be fulfilled.

 

Within the Application Note 21 (Safety requirements SAFEDSL008) SICK provides information and general recommenddations how to fulfill the SAFEDSL008-requirement including information about different available channel resolutions and ways how get the information of an actual used motor feedback system.
