It could be possible that these sensors showed the behavior that the green LED was on and the yellow LED flashes fast, Laser was off.

This sensor's performance may be affected when subjected to extreme temperature conditions, either excessively high or low, potentially compromising its functionality and operational longevity.

This could happen eg. if the sensor was switched off (no power supply)
after power on the sensor is too cold because of the deep cold storage with around -25degree,
to protect the laser life time, the laser is switched off until the correct sensor temperature is reached,
during this heating up time the Laser is off, green LED is on and yellow LED flashes fast,
if the correct sensor temperature is reached the the sensor function is back normal, Laser is switched on and the flashing of the yellow LED stops.
The duration for the heating up is mostly around 20minutes but depends of course from the temperature of the sensor, the ambient temperature, the mounting type of the sensor eg. the size of the mounting bracket that cools down the sensor housing.
Therefore we recommend in deep storage application to power the sensors the whole time 24/7.
If that is not possible and the heating up time is an issue and shall be reduced its perhaps necessary to keep the mounting bracket as small as possible and/ or to isolate the sensor housing from the mounting plate by a small air gap of a few mm or an insulation plate between sensor and mounting bracket to allow the sensor to heat up faster.

General mounting hints for cold storage applications

At such low temperatures of up to -30 degree Celsius, plastics quickly becomes stiff and breakable. Therefore please protect the sensor housing as good as possible against any mechanical impacts.
Especially the area of the connector plug is very prone to breakage due to the long lever with mounted connector and needs additional mechanical protection.

Please make sure that the additional protective housing does not exert any pressure or tension on the sensor housing, e.g. by using a connector that is too thick and prevents the sensor housing from resting flat and mechanically stress-free on the mounting plate.
Please mount the sensor before it has reached the cold ambient temperatures (previous warmer storage recommended) with the correct screw tightening torque.

A suitable strain relief as close as possible to the cable connector is highly recommended to prevent tensile loads of the cable on the sensor/connector housing.
