Control pallets on a conveyor with IRT

Today I will show you an application with some IRT.
The customer wants to control the pallets on a pneumatic controlled roller conveyor (Accumulation conveyor). So the palettes should not touch each other to eliminate the risk of product damage.

For this application (only an example) we need 4 x IRT-P212E41 #1063109.

You can mount the IRT easily between the rollers to detect the pallet. With the pneumatic valve at the IRT you control the air flow to the conveyor section to start and stop the conveyor.

So if the sensor detects no pallet, it gives a signal to the next IRT to release the next pallet.
With Pin 4 the SLUG accumulation you release all IRT, so all pallets move at the same time.


With the IRT we detect the pallets and control the accumulation and the release of the palettes on the pneumatic conveyor.
The customer does not need a PLC or anything else to control the pallets on the conveyor. So he saves time and he saves money because he doesn't need PLC cards and does not have to develop any logic.
