Hole detection in transparent films with MLG-2

To detect holes in transparent films the MLG-2 first needs to be switched into the 'Transparent Mode'.
In this mode you find a setting called 'Minimum Detectable Absorption' in the 'Performance options'. Choose the needed absorption value that the MLG-2 is safely detecting the transparent film.
In the easiest case your film is wider as the length of the MLG-2. In this case all beams are blocked if there is no hole in the transparent film. Here you can use the standard hole detection function for the digital output of the MLG-2:
If your MLG-2 is longer than the width of the transparent film there is an easy solution as well.
Just use the 'Inner dimension (IDI)' function. It gives you the number of beams which are in the inside of two blocks of blocked beams:
