MLG-2 Pro – monitoring luggage on a conveyor belt

Task:

For monitoring the luggage on a conveyor belt, the MLG is used for tracking the profile.
e.g. finding out hanging belts from backpacks or other bags

Field Conditions:

• Width of conveyor max 1 m
• Detection height = approx. 1 m
• MDO >5mm = minimum detectable belt size
• speed 1 m/s
• Data rate at least 10 measurements/s

How to setup the data recorder

 Please be aware, the SOPAS Data Recorder is just for test issues, there is no “real time” recording possible

Open the data recorder in the left corner below.  

Select RLC    

Create a file in the browser.

Start recording, move test object through the light path and and watch the result:

Here you can see the profile of our test object.
At first a thin "belt" is entering, then the body, and finally a belt before exit.
