ATEX marking, special conditions

Lately, we got a few requests about the ATEX marking of the sensors.
For example, if the customer would like to use the WTB27X-3P3411, he will find this ATEX marking: 


 

The question was the following: What does the X at the end of the marking mean? 


The X at the end of the marking means that there are special conditions which have to be fulfilled by the customer.
Where can I find those special conditions?
You can find those special conditions in the operating instructions which are also included in the sensor package.
Taking the example of the WTB27X, these are the special conditions which have to be fulfilled by the customer (marked in red):
