In the operating instructions we state the following:

x - axis: distance
y - axis: laser spot diameter

Dotted blue line: Due to the focusing, the spot initially decreases (in contrast to many other SICK LiDAR sensors) after exiting the device. The focus point is approximately 6m in the scanning direction. After that, the spot gets bigger again.
