IMC default values for the four programmable switching points

This article explains how to find the default distance values for the four programmable switching points of our inductive IMC sensors

The inductive sensors of our IMC family have four programmable switching points or windows at an switching distance Sn of up to 20 mm. 2 outputs can be used as switching outputs and/ or 4 outputs and the distance value are available via IO-Link process data.

The to the mm distance value related distance value in digit, are sensor specific and have to be read out of the connected IMC sensor via IO-Link index 76-79 subindex 1:

Inductive proximity sensors, 9237756 (sick.com)

The mm values can't be written as distance value. To write a distance value the digit value has to be written eg. to the index 60 subindex 1 for switching point 1:
