Analytics Installation Instructions for Linux

Open terminal window in the Linux environment and navigate to the director of the Analytics installation binary

If the application does not have execute access permissions (x), use the chmod command to assign the permissions:   chmod u+x SICK_An-4.6.1.bin

 

Run the installer using the sudo command and enter the appropriate password to start the installation

Select Next

Select the check box next to “I accept the terms of the License Agreement” and “Next”

Select “Full” for a complete installation with all Analytics components and select "Next"

Select “Custom” for a distributed/decentralized installation where specific components can be specified and select “Next”

Select or unselect specific components to be installed and select “Next”

The recommended default path of the Analytics installation is provided.  However, an alternate location can be specified.  Select “Next”

The recommended default path for MySQL Data is provided.  However, an alternate location can be specified.  Select “Next”

The recommended default paths for Media Server Installation Folder and Root Media Server File Storage Location are provided.  However, alternative locations can be specified.  Select “Next”

At the Pre-Installation Summary review the settings.  If any changes need to be made, select “Previous” to step through the previous screens to make changes.  If all settings are correct, select “Install”.

The installer will display the progress of the installation

Once the installation is complete, select “Done”
