It's not common to use the SICK web server (SOPASair) directly in machine HMIs.
Rather it is prefered to integrate it into the design of the machine HMI.

The most suitable way to do this is to use the tools which are provided by the PS30:

  • Modular web server (provided by SOPASair)
  • JSON REST calls (see separate / linked article below)
  • Function block for PLC (see separate / linked article below)

1.) Modular web server

a)   Image files

The teach image and the process image are available as image file.

Just call

http:\\<PS30 IP-Address>\teachimage.bmp
or
http:\\<PS30 IP-Address>\runimage.bmp

Find more details in chapter 2.9.3 of the PS30_InterfaceDocumentation (https://www.sick.com/media/dox/8/58/158/Technical_information_PS30_SOPAS_Communication_Interface_Description_en_IM0070158.PDF)

b)   Web server

Using the web server of PS30 you are able to show the different pages of the complete web server individually and full screen.

For Example:

c)  Use separate controls out of the web server

It's even possible to cut out single controls of the web server and show them via a separate URL.
Please find the details on how to use the modularity of the web server in the attached document.
