Task:
Customer needs a solution for the "locating lug" detection that he can align the bottle before labelling.
Customer advised that the bottle will rotate on it's center and is extremely smooth.
our proposal:
Fiber-optic sensors eg. WLL80 and suitable proximity fiber like LL3-DT01 #5308076 mounted in an angle of 45degree to the bottle to detect the edge of the lug.
actual values of Fiber-optic sensors:
bottle surface during turning max 800digits
edge of the lug 9999 digits
important points:
alignment of the bottle = fiber head to bottle distance has to be stable,
if the lug or embossing is small or you need more flexibility with the light spot diameter/ distance to the bottle you can use a prox fiber LL3-DM02 #5308071 with screwable/ adjustable lens LL3-DA06 #5326468
