The CNS50 (DiCoder) encoder series

The CNS50 (DiCoder) encoder series

Table of Contents

Basic information to the CNS50

The CNS50 was an incremental motorfeedback series, for servo motors, with commutation signals.

  • Incremental signal: high resolution, for the speed evaluation
  • Z Signal (index): for a single turn positioning (after referencing one turn)
  • Commutation signals: For the commutation of the servo motor (synchron motor)

In the attachment, there are the data sheets and the mounting instruction:

Replacement

The CNS50 encoder series is replaced by the CFS50 encoder series.

But unfortunately there are 2 problems:

  1. not all mounting variants are available
    1. the 7 mm plug in shaft --> only some special versions --> search for "CFS50 with plug in shaft"
    2. The connector version --> there is only the cable version available
  2. the CFS50 is also in the phase out phase and there is no replacement series for the CFS50 available

Here a table with the type code of the old CNS50 and the newer CFS50:
