CanOpen Settings, available in SOPAS
For the GLS100L with CanOpen interface, it is possible to configure the process data via SOPAS ET. A SiLink2 IO-Link master is required for this, which can be ordered as an accessory part.
Automatic Start
What does “Automatic Start“ mean?
After power-up, the device enters operating mode immediately, and transmission of the Transmit PDOs begins right away (depending on the PDO configuration).
For the GLS100L, the default setting is “AutoStart”.
Otherwise, data transmission must be initiated by the NMT master (NMT = Network Management).
Here are some sample screenshots created with PCAN-View:
Activation or Deactivation of the Transmit-PDOs
three PDOs are activated by default
up to 7 PDOs can be activated in total for the GLS100L
a maximum of 8 bytes of data content is available for each PDO
for each activated PDO, a "COB ID" must be assigned, the COB ID also contains the node address
however, only up to 4 COB IDs can be assigned under the same node address
Attention:
if more than 4 PDOs are needed, the surplus ones must be accommodated under a still free node address.
Determination of the "Transmission Type"
The default setting for the transmission type is 255 = event-driven
This means: The PDO is triggered either “on change” or via the event timer.
For the GLS100L, this means:
A “change” occurs every time the image is updated, which typically happens about every 33 ms.
Attention:
if the set time for the event timer is longer than the shutter time of the GLS100L, then the cycle time is based on the image capture time
PDO Mapping
The content of each PDO can be configured individually, considering the maximum data length of 8 Byte.
Attention:
There is no monitoring of the maximum data length in SOPAS.
