What is the tolerance of the tightening torque from the clamping ring screw of hollow shaft encoders?

If you check the operation instruction from one of the following encoders with a blind or through hollow shaft...

• VFS60
• A3M60
• AFS60 / AFM60
• DFS2x
• DFS60
• DFV60
• SFS60 / SFM60

you will notice that the tightening torque of the clamping ring screw is 1.1Nm. Below you see a cutout from the operation instruction of the DFS60.

But what is the tolerance for this tighenting torque?

To ensure a tight connection between the hollow shaft and the shaft from the customer there is no symmetrical but a one sided tolerance of +0.1Nm for the tightening torque of the clamping ring screw.

So the tightening torque of the clamping ring screw has to be between 1.1Nm and 1.2Nm.
