You need:

Teach-In function in SOPAS ET

Hysteresis function

The teach-in function calculates the switching points for the "hysteresis function" on the basis of the following formula:

  • SP = Switching point
  • RP = Reset point
  • ResA = Measured value in air
  • ResM = Measured value in medium

< 80,0% SP formula, see above. RP formula, see above.

≥ 80.0%

Teach-In not possible Teach-In not possible Automatic teach-in not possible because of too high measured value.

Manual setting needed. SICK can support by finding the best switching point and reset point.

Details can be found in the tutorial "How do I set my LFC to my specific medium?".

Example:

ResM = 50.00
ResM = 90.40

SP = 50.00 + ((90.40 - 50.00) / 3 ) = 63.45
RP
= 90.40 - ((90.40 - 50.00) / 3 ) = 76.93

Window function

The teach-in function calculates the switching points for "window function" on the basis of the following formula:

0% - 60% ResM - 6 ResM + 6
60.1.% - 77.9% ResM - 5 ResM + 5
78.0% - 80% ResM - 4 ResM + 4

≥ 80.0%

Teach-in not possible Teach-in not possible

Automatic teach-in not possible because of too high measured value.

Manual setting needed. SICK can support by finding the best switching point and reset point.

Details can be found in the tutorial "How do I set my LFC to my specific medium?".

Example:

Measured value in medium (ResM): 70.5

Switching point = 65.5
Reset Point = 75.5
