We would like to install two IQ10 close together in an application.
The problem with inductive sensors is that the oscillating frequencies of the sensors disturb each other. Therefore, it is crucial to keep the distance written in the installation note between them. 
If this is not possible and you have to mount it closer together it is no problem: for this reason, we have special sensors with changed oscillating frequencies.
However, you should leave a gap so that the heat can escape and the sensors do not overheat.
Here are some standard IQ10 with the special version behind to prevent crosstalk / false trigger.

That means that you have to use one standard sensor and one special sensor (or alternately) to mount close to each other.
