The light spot diameter of the Dx35 depends on the distance and temperature. The diameter can be calculated as follows - the calculator setting must be DEG:

at +20 °Cdiameter [mm] = 10 mm + 2 * tan(0.0716) * distance [mm]
at -20 °Cdiameter [mm] = 10 mm + 2 * tan(0.0573) * distance [mm]
at +65 °Cdiameter [mm] = 10 mm + 2 * tan(0.0859) * distance [mm]

Typical light spot dimension:

  • 2 m -> approx. 15 mm


Please note: The actual light spot diameter can vary from one sensor to another by up to +/- 20%.
