The VFS60 incremental encoder

The VFS60 is an encoder with an Incremental interface (TTL or HTL).

It is more or less similar to the DFS60.

But at the VFS60, there are some limitations concerning the variance, because it was sold as a motor feedback product.

• limited resolution adjustment
• only as a hollow shaft encoder available

Now, almost all of the VFS60 applications in asynchronous electric motors are solved with the DBS60.

Where a DBS60 is not possible (because of the need of a programmable version) there is the possibility to use still a DFS60

The VFS60 is not 100% phased out, because there are still some versions available.

Therefore, up to now, there was no phase out letter.

As a replacement, we suggest to use:

• DFS60 --> if a programmable version is needed
• DBS60 --> if a not programmable version is needed
