Scan field flatness

TiM100, TiM150, TiM240, TiM310, TiM320,  TiM510  variant: typ. +/-3°
all other variant:  typ. +/- 1,5° (since S/N: 2126 xxxx, TiM-S since 2049 xxxx, exception picktail and open housing variant)

Scan field flatness errors are mainly exist due to two sub errors. Tilt (pitch&roll) and conus error.

Tilt error can be reduced with aligment of the LiDAR.

Conus error/tilt error:

More optical influences

Combination of all effects

For the minimal object size calculation see operating instruction.

TiM100/TiM240/TiM310/TiM320/TiM510:

scanfieldflatness= +-3°

Divergence = 8,6 mrad (0,49°)

Spotsize(on the optical hood) =  7mm

all other variant:

scanfieldflatness= +-1.5°

Divergence = 8,6 mrad (0,49°)

Spotsize (on the optical hood) = 7mm

Example Calculation

TiM510 @ 250mm distance:

Scan field flatness  250 mm x tan3°: ~13,1 mm

+ ½ Spot size @ hood : 3.5 mm

+ divergence of ½ 9.5mrad: ~1.2 mm

= ~ 17.8 mm

TiM510@ 500mm distance:

Scan field flatness 500 mm x tan 3°: ~26,2 mm
+ ½ Spot size: 3.5 mm
+ divergence of ½ 9.5mrad: ~2.4 mm

= ~ 32,1 mm

TiM510 @ 10,000mm distance:

Scan field flatness 10,000 mm x tan(3°)= ~524 mm
+ ½ Spot size 3.5 mm
+divergence of ½ 9.5mrad:~47,5 mm

= ~575 mm
