After retrofitting DME device variants with SSI interface, ensure that both data format and resolution on DL100 Pro are set to the previous DME values. However, there is one exception to this:
The 25-bit GRAY data format is implemented differently in the devices mentioned and is therefore not compatible.
In detail:
DME3000/4000/5000: Distance value (24-bit binary coded) is supplemented at LSB position by 1 status bit (binary coded) and then completely coded to 25-bit GRAY.
DL100 Pro: Distance value is coded without status bit to 25-bit GRAY.
To ensure full compatibility, the “G25DME” format has been added to the selectable SSI data formats for the DL100 Pro.
This format is available for DL100 SSI (type code DL100-xxxxxx01) from firmware version V001.004.000 and DL100 PN/SSI (type code DL100-xxxxx213) from firmware version V2.0.8.
Further information on the SSI formats can be found in the corresponding operating instructions.
