This document shows how an Auto Ident sensor can be integrated into a Beckhoff PLC using a CDF600 EtherCAT. It shows how EtherCAT communication is established between the PLC and the Auto Ident sensor in the two possible operating modes Gateway Mode and Proxy Mode.
